DJ / プロデューサーの池田正典 (Masanori Ikeda)とcro-magnonのキーボーディスト金子巧 (Takumi Kaneko)の言わずと知れた２人からなるユニット。 昨年、2018年の夏から今年に掛けて次々とEPをバイナルオンリーでFlower Recordsからリリースし瞬時にソールドアウトを重ねヨーロッパにおける名門チルアウトレーベルMusic For Dreamsからのライセンスオファー等、現在国内外のミュージックラバー達の大きな支持と注目を集めている。 ダンスミュージック界で活躍してきた２人の別の顔でもある映像用音楽セッションから生まれたCoastlinesの音楽性は海岸線 (Coastline)などのリラックスした情景を彷彿させるリスニング及びライブラリー・ミュージック的な特性等も持ち合わせた沁みるチルアウト・トラックである。 ダウンテンポやバレアリック、フュージョン他、様々な音楽性をミックスしたレイドバックなトラックの上に美しくも歌心のあるキーボード・ソロが奔放に舞うトラック群は全ての人達のアフターアワーズにおいて、特別なリビング・サウンドトラックになるであろう。

1990年代初期よりロンドンでDJの活動を始める。伝説的クラブWAG等の様々なレジデントDJを務める。帰国後、活動の拠点を東京に移し音楽制作の活動も開始。Masanori Ikeda、ソロユニットMansfieldや数々の名義でアルバム、12インチEPを発表。中でも2008年にリリースした”City Lights”は、アナログ・リリースされると即ソールドアウトになるほどの人気を博した。
諸作品は、国内外の様々なコンピレーションアルバムにもライセンスされ、リミキサーとしても様々なアーティストのRemixを手がける。そしてDJ、選曲家として様々なオフィシャルMix CDシリーズやコンピレーションアルバムを各社（V2,Avex,EMI,Flower Recored他）から発表。ハーゲンダッツ、JRA他のCM音楽プロデュースも多数手がけている。近年はその膨大な音楽知識とコレクションから、様々なオブスキュアー・ダンスミュージックをシームレスに紡いでいくDJスタイルで、主要オーバー＆アンダーグラウンド・クラブの週末を沸かせている。
2013年はMax Essa主催のJansen JardinからAfro Tipsy EPのアナログリリース、日本が誇る老舗ダンスミュージックレーベルFlower RecoredよりNew EPのデジタルリリースがBeatport等、様々な世界主要ダンスサイトから配信を予定しているなど、創作活動も活発に行なっている。2017年、cro-magnonのキーボーディスト金子巧とチルアウト・プロジェクト、Coastlinesを始動させる。Flower Records設立20周年記念コンピレーション・アルバム “Past and Future”に楽曲を提供。そして2018年8月、いよいよ初のアナログ・シングルとなる “Coastlines E.P.をリリースする。
Started DJ’s activities in London since the early 1990s.
He serves various resident DJs such as the legendary club WAG.
After returning home, Masanori moved activities base to Tokyo and started music production activities.
Masanori Ikeda, solo unit Mansfield and numerous albums, 12 inches EP released. Among them, “City Lights” released in 2008 gained popularity to become sold out immediately as analog release.
Various works are licensed to various compilation albums both in Japan and abroad, and as a remixer I also deal with Remix of various artists.
And as DJ, as a songwriter, he released various official Mix CD series and compilation album from each company (V2, Avex, EMI, Flower Recored etc).
In recent years, from the huge musical knowledge and collection, we have a weekend of major over & underground clubs in DJ style which seamlessly spin various obscure / dance music.
In 2013, Jansen Jardin sponsored by Max Essa from Afro Tipsy EP analog release, New Japan’s prominent dance music label Flower Recored New EP digital release is planned to be delivered from various world leading dance sites such as Beatport etc. , I also actively do creative activities.
In 2017, started chill out project with keyboards player Takumi Kaneko, named Coastlines.
Flower Records 20th anniversary commemorative compilation album “Past and Future” provided music.
And in August 2018, we will finally release “Coastlines E.P.” will be the first analog single.

1996年、Jazz Pianistを目指し渡米するも、帰国後一転してHip-Hop、Dance Musicを経て、cro-magnonのメンバーとして活動する。
そして2013年には、ソロアルバム “Unwind” をリリース。
ソロライブと平行してライブの客演や制作協力、セッション等活動は多岐に渡る。
2017年、DJ池田正典とチルアウト・プロジェクト、Coastlinesを始動させる。Flower Records設立20周年記念コンピレーション・アルバム “Past and Future”に楽曲を提供。
